A lot of you have been asking about my current 21 Day Fix Extreme meal plan so here it is! I am a creature of habit so I pretty much am sticking to the same meals — plus it helps when grocery shopping. Let me know if you have any questions! I did it!! I completed the 21 Day Fix Extreme with ZERO cheats and pushing play on every.single.workout!! If you follow me on Facebook then you saw my results already, which are freakin’ crazy, by the way! Autumn is my favorite! I seriously cannot believe how quickly my body changed. It just goes to show you that nutrition really is everything. I followed the Countdown to Competition meal plan for my first round and I am currently doing Round 2 on the Extreme Plan.
A weight loss transformation photo can only tell you so much. It can show you a person’s physical transformation but it cannot tell you how they arrived at their current state– what they did, how long it took, the tears they cried, the moments of victory, how they now feel and the setbacks they had to get to that moment. A photo is just a glimpse into a current physical triumph. But a weight loss transformation is so much more than that.
We go through playdough like CRAZY in this house. It’s actually quite annoying because it is pretty much my fault. Molly asks to play with it so I get it out and all set up. She plays with it for awhile while I’m working or cleaning (ha!) and then we go about our merry way.
How often do you hear moms say they want their “pre-baby body back?” Like, every other day right? Well, not this mom. My body pre babies (not pictured) was rarely strong, was rarely healthy, was subjected to continual yo-yo diets, was deprived, was hated. I don’t ever want to go back to that body again.
Don’t let that girl on the left fool you for one second… she may look happy, but she is not. That is me 1 month after Molly was born, in the depths of postpartum depression but not yet realizing it. I just knew I felt sad a lot and lonely even when surrounded by my family. I would sit alone in the middle of the night nursing with tears streaming down my face and not even know why. Shouldn’t I be happy with my new baby? But I wasn’t. I was full of anxiety and fear and doubts.
2. I am silly and don’t like to get too deep and serious, especially on my blog.
Those are two really random statements, right? You see, I’ve always been an optimist. I’ve always been happy and ready for some fun! So, to go back to that dark place and talk about it is really hard for me.
That’s a wrap!! Beachbody Coach Summit 2016 has officially ended — we left Nashville and next year we will be in New Orleans! It was a total whirlwind of a trip and being 20 weeks pregnant was quite an experience. I had to rest a lot more than usual, which is hard for me because I do not like to slow down. So what the heck is Coach Summit?
This morning we had a “full circle moment” that I almost took for granted. I’m so used to Ben being home with us that it didn’t even hit me until the excitement of getting Molly off to school had died down.
This week I was asked what my “story” is and how I found Beachbody. I realized that I never have really told my story in full… so, why not dive on in and tell it here?! Here goes!
Growing up as a child I had a really kick ass life. I played sports (mainly soccer), went on a lot of family vacations and never wanted for a thing. My mom started working at AOL in the early 90s and if you remember, AOL was VERY successful.
I get that question a lot. Staying motivated in both fitness and business is something that I have learned. And I will tell you that it’s a lot easier said than done. It takes work and practice getting and staying motivated. Staying is the key word!! It can be all too easy to fall off track, but here are some tips I have found that help me.
The 4 Personality Gems come from the motivational speaker Dani Johnson. Johnson says,
“You have all four Gem characteristics in you. Some people have a lot of two Gems and very little of the others. Others have quite a bit of each one in them, but they lead and communicate in one primary Gem most of the time.”
This 21 Day Fix Extreme Turkey Chili is the bomb.com. It’s so good that my husband requested it again this week and I had to move my meal plan around. It is flavorful and the PERFECT warm meal for this freezing cold winter. I’m telling you, eating healthy does NOT mean you have to eat boring, bland foods.
